Procurement Gateway has been founded by Matt and Simon, two Midlands-based entrepreneurs with significant experience of project management and delivery of IT innovation. Both believe in the importance of transparency, fairness and value for money in public contracting. They have set up and are self-funding Gateway to respond to an evident need identified through conversations with contacts across public and private sectors. Matt and Simon were inspired by the Transforming Public Procurement Team's call for the development of innovative solutions to support delivery of best outcomes under the Procurement Act 2023.

Matt Brain is a multi-disciplined technology and data leader with extensive experience of developing highly scaled end to end solutions from conception through to productisation who has worked on projects include a real-time, mission-critical, telecommunications fabric monitoring solution, and a multi-terabyte scale capture, ETL and reporting platform utilising digital consumer behavioural data.

Simon Gomm is an independent Chartered Engineer with over twenty five years experience in environmental engineering, green power solutions and project management. In his spare time he is a member of West Midlands 4x4 Response, a charity which is part of a national network of organisations providing logistical support to the NHS and other public bodies.
